A Nation Standing at the Cross Roads of Judgment or Reward

Our planet is in total chaos. Russia is expanding its territory without reprisals with a goal of again creating a super bloc of nations resembling the old Soviet Union era. It has also gained a major and historic foothold in the territory of the Middle East under the auspices of helping Syria’s President Assad who has, in fact, become nothing more than a puppet for Vladimir Putin to further hedge upon foreign lands. At the end of the day, Vlad the Conqueror will rule Syria, Iraq and most likely Lebanon. Their recently gained and prophetically important ally, Iran, is clinging to the coattails of Russia all the while gobbling up a great deal of technological and military resources with the ultimate goal of becoming a nuclear force capable of wiping an entire nation from the face of the Earth - Israel.

It is somewhat ironic that the original “Vlad the Conquerer” or actually Mehmed the Conqueror was twice Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. In 1453, at the young age of 21, he conquered Constantinople, modern day Istanbul, destroying the Byzantine Empire. By doing so, the Ottoman State was transformed into its own Empire that lasted centuries until its fall in 1922. Mehmed believed that the whole of the non-Muslim world was to be considered “war territory” and specifically ordained by the Koran to be placed under Islamic submission. The primary function and purpose of the Ottoman Empire was to pursue a Holy war in order to spread Islam to the world. Now, of course, these are two separate people, Vladimir and Mehmed, yet, their aspirations are amazingly the same - conquer and possess. Which lands are currently in Putin's crosshairs? Those historically Islamic areas to the north of and adjacent to Israel - if not Israel itself.

Islam as a whole, whether Sunni or Shiite, has as its ultimate goal to cause the complete submission by all people to that religion. Followers are required to achieve this goal by any means possible, whether by direct overt violent actions or by any other covert means. Their greatest long term and effective agenda has been that of mass migration without assimilation; to flood the nations of the world with refugees; to procreate at higher rates than the native populations of their host countries; to gain government control, lawfully from within; to then change laws and overtake those societies. This strategy is working very well as many countries in Europe have become so “Islamified” over the past few years that there is no turning back. Their native citizens watch helplessly as their governments and way of life are falling to Islam from within.

In just a relatively short time, ISIS, a radical terrorist organization, was able to very quickly gain a great deal of power and resources after the US’s unwise decision to vacate Iraq. It has created further chaos by enticing young Muslims the world over to join their efforts in spreading their “hate theology” as they aspire to bring all others unto submission to their religion. Their goal is to bring back the glory of the Caliphate and the power and prominence of the old Ottoman Empire. They have been very overt in their methods of violence. Yet, their appeal to the young who have been brainwashed from childhood to hate those who are not of the Islamic faith is nothing short of amazing. This organization has gone global as their appeals have fallen upon the ears of Muslims the world over - and they are answering the call. War has changed as they are bringing it to every nation and every community. Sadly, the nations of the world are naively welcoming into and across their borders these determined young warriors whose fight has only just begun.

With all of chaos and all of the conflict that is presently occurring all around the world, what would be the most urgent of resolutions for the United Nations General Assembly to focus upon? Is it Russia and their expansionist actions and goals? Is it china and their recent provocations of many countries, including the US? How about their illegal expansion into Pacific waters and island creation for what could only be military advantage?

How about North Korea and their maniacal “Supreme Leader” Kim Jong-un? Does anyone really know what his intentions are? He is basically like a child who has been foolishly given a loaded gun to play with and the only result will be death to someone at some point. It is certain and inevitable.

How about any one of the other nuclear nations upon this planet such as India and Pakistan? The problem now is: they are negotiating deals with other governments to sell their nuclear weapons of mass destruction. Saudi Arabia, being threatened by Iran is now in the process of buying nukes from Pakistan.

These are just a very small sample of the some of the idiocies that are occurring around the globe at this moment in time. Yet, are any of these at the top of the UN’s priority list of situations that need addressed and voted upon by its members? No. So where are their priorities directed? Well, it seems that all lines drawn from every nation upon this planet is directly intersecting the tiny nation of Israel, specifically the city of Jerusalem, albeit, further narrowed down to the area of the Temple Mount.

Jerusalem, Israel is that cross roads and the future of this planet ultimately rests upon how the nations of the world respond to her existence. Unfortunately, the nations are quickly turning against her in droves. Out of nearly all the participant countries that are represented at the United Nations General Assembly, only six are holding their ground regarding dividing up Israel’s land. In actuality, these six nations are not opposed to dividing the land and giving it to the Palestinians, they are only opposed to the “processes” that are being suggested which would forcibly cause Israel to return to a wholly indefensible 1967 border situation. All want Israel to eventually divide its land but the method of how it is accomplished is what is holding back these six nations.

Israel is constantly being publicized as an “occupier” and as an “oppressor.” Yet they are the only true democracy in the Middle East. Jerusalem and the West Bank were not illegally seized from some existing nation. Palestine was never a nation but once the suffix “ians” is ever applied to a group of people, it becomes legitimized in the minds of those saying it. They became “Palestinians” and once that happened, all of a sudden they must have had possessed a country. The true facts are that these Arab individuals, who could have continued to live in Israel as free citizens, enjoying a good life, sided on their own accord with the surrounding Arab nations who were preparing to invade and destroy her in 1948. They left with the promise that once Israel was destroyed, they could return to the land. The invasion failed and these people were left, by their host countries, in camps, without a country when they were refused citizenship. They were not welcomed there, yet they chose to be there in the first place. Their plight was of their own making. Their current living situations are a direct result of making a wrong choice in the first place. Yet, the world is blaming Israel for humanitarian atrocities.

As far as the Golan is concerned, what is won in war, especially one that was not of their own making, is spoils for the taking. The Golan is vital for the defense of Israel. Without the Golan, much of Israel would be in the crosshairs of terrorists who would then possess this militarily strategic high ground.

Jerusalem, whose Jewish roots far predate Islam by thousands of years, is and always will be Israel’s possession. God has certainly and expressly chosen the Jews and this land as his precious possessions. All of prophecy is centered around this tiny nation. The nations of the world are making a grave mistake by abandoning them; by attempting to divide up their very land and give it away. God warned what would happen to those nations that cause this to happen - destruction.

In the very end, God has promised to judge the nations on how they treated Israel. America is now standing at its own cross road. With two months left, President Obama is being greatly pressured by various individuals and groups to abandon our country's long standing policy of vetoing the UN Resolution that would require Israel to pull back to the 1967 borders and to divide up Jerusalem, letting it become the Palestinian capitol city. His dislike for Israeli policy and leadership has been no secret. Now, his dislike and disdain for incoming President Elect Trump just may push him over the edge. In his arrogance, will he cause a situation that may be irreversible and historic in its consequences? Will he stand firm with Israel or will he plunge our nation into fiery judgment?

Pray that he does not fail Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
