Religious Extremism or True Intent

The current political leadership of our nation, driven by a politically correct agenda, continually describes Islamic terrorism as being the ideology of only a small minority of Muslims.  They defend Islam by describing these terrorists as being nothing more than members of fringe groups that have become corrupt and radical.  We are told that they are the exceptions to a peaceful religion.  In the minds of our nation’s leaders, they are the apostates to the religion of Islam.

What is apostasy?  Webster’s dictionary says that an apostate is someone whose beliefs have changed and who no longer belongs to a religious or political group.  Therefore, we are told that these terrorists are not following true Islamic teachings when they kill in the name of Allah.  The problem is - the teachings of Muhammad actually affirm the actions of these so called radical individuals.  In reality, the true apostates of the Islamic religion are the people that are described as being moderates.

The Bible is not exclusive when it comes to people seeking to change the intent of the passages that they really don’t like.  Muslims encounter the same issues in regard to the Koran and associated Hadiths.  This distortion by the politically correct is then used to convey and institute their versions of the truth as laws and socially accepted behavioral attitudes toward each religion.  This is a very dangerous practice, especially since the result has caused a great many to blindly ignore the actual intentions of Christianity and Islam.  What actually dictates true believers from extremists of both religions?  Consider the following true statements:

Jihadists are not the “extremists” of Muslim teaching but are those that actually “follow the intent” of the Koran.  Evangelicals are not the “extremists” of Christian teaching but are those that actually strive to “follow the intent” of the Bible.

Our administration, media, as well as Hollywood are portraying the “true believers” of both religions as being the “extremists.”  Yet both, Jihadists and Evangelicals, are merely being faithful to the actual intents of their respective religions. Consider the following two statements, one from the teaching of Muhammad and the other from the teaching of Jesus:

Muhammad: The Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews, when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (the Boxthorn tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews.

Jesus: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”

People only attempt to change the “intents” when it benefits them in some manner.  In the case of true Islamic teaching, it does not benefit our nation’s current politically correct agenda to portray it in a bad light.  In the case of true Christian teaching, it does not benefit our nation’s current politically correct agenda to portray it in a good light.

To sum it up, the true intentions of both religions are being deliberately changed, skewed and shaped to fit whatever politically correct agenda that is on the table at any given time.  Islam is being reshaped into something good and Christianity is being reshaped into something that is bad and hateful.

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

Christians are commanded to love their neighbors, all of them, as we await our soon returning God.

Muslims are commanded to kill all those that oppose them and to create worldwide chaos in anticipation of their returning god.

Consider the slaughter of countless Christians and Jews around the world that is currently taking place by groups such as ISIS and Boko Haram.  Consider the incarceration and murder of Christians in “so called” moderate Muslim nations that rarely make local news.  Extremism or true intent?  Don’t be deceived.
