Our Nation's Leaders

       Have you ever wondered how a person such as the anti-christ could ever rise to world-wide power?  This man will obviously be very skilled in all of his public agendas.  All the right words will be said as well as all the correct actions to back them up.  The Bible says that you know a tree by the fruit that it yields.  Surely someone so incredibly evil at heart would have some skeletons in his closet!  Do you think any could or would be found before his advent to power?  I do.  Will it matter to the masses?  No.  Because of the chaos and turmoil that the world will be experiencing at that time, the people will be concerned only with what he is able to do for them now.  This man will be pulling off what no one else seemingly could do -  he will somehow find a way to bring about a peace.  The failing economy will be rejuvenated by a reorganization of unprecedented proportions.   Under those incredible circumstances, his personal life and behavior will not be a significant concern for the people of the world.  Those that object to him for perhaps his personal behavior will no doubt be rebuked.  

       However, by not allowing the man’s personal behavior to be scrutinized to the point of rejection, the most horrible, most objectionable man-beast in history will be in control of the world.  But, he will be doing a good job!  In light of what we know will happen approximately 3-1/2 years further down the road, wouldn’t it have been better to trust a more moral, even if less politically gifted man with the lives of all mankind.  Millions will die because of the trust that they will be placing in him.  Yet, if they had only regarded his personal behavior as a relevant source of evidence that his public behavior would not remain good, they will have avoided what will be the most horrible political reign of all time.   

       I have always been perplexed that Germany allowed a man such as Hitler to rise to power over that country.  They knew him already by his deeds and yet they still succumbed to his leadership.  His public and private life prior to his reign was substandard, yet because of the economy and the need for a strong leader, Hitler was entrusted with the job.  Even after he became their leader and began his horrible atrocities the people allowed him to remain in power.  Their economy was growing again!  If they had just looked for a more moral leader, the nation may not have fallen as it did.   

       This world is being prepared by the devil for the coming new leader.  First of all, a general numbing down of our senses regarding what is acceptable behavior is occurring in our country.  Could we become so sick of hearing of immoral behavior that we ignore and therefore tolerate it?  By the willingness to tolerate, bit by bit, more and more objectionable behavior from our leaders, we are desynthesizing ourselves to the ultimate ramifications of evil morals.  Don’t forget that streams of  both great evil and goodness cannot flow from the same fountain.  Yet we will allow ourselves to be governed by a man of lies and deceit by rationalizing that the person is for now doing a good job.  Hitler did good for a while.  The anti-christ will do good for a while.  Hitler could not contain his true private personality.  It was always a part of his future public agenda.  So will the anti-christ’s private agenda be thrust upon the world with devastating results.  Even Christians are now in this day and time tolerating more and more immoral behavior from our nation’s leaders because they are “doing a good job”.   

       Second of all, in order for the anti-christ to come to power the church must be removed.  The moral conscience of the world must be gone and that will happen by the occurrence of the rapture.  Along with this and other world-wide calamities and economic problems, the people will be rallying for a leader, a peace-maker.   The personal behavior of this person will not be a factor because no one will then believe that it will be of consequence to his future public actions.  The devil’s agenda will have been completed.  Man-kind will be so desynthesized to bad morals that even a man-devil such as the coming beast will be embraced by all as their new leader.  The ramifications of that decision by the public will be the near destruction of the entire earth.  

       The behavior of even Hitler could have been scrutinized more closely even after he was in power.  The people should not have allowed his leadership to continue.  They wanted to see good and were experiencing some longed for prosperity, but at what price - human depravity and murderous destruction.  The same situation will soon occur when the anti-christ steps upon the world scene.   

       We obviously will not be able to stop this ever increasing world-wide tolerance for immoral actions.  But as Christians, we must do our best to insure that what we expect to govern us now is true and moral.  How can we as the conscience of this world tolerate anything less?

Your Decision to Receive Christ as Your Savior:

     Confess to God that you are a sinner.  Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross and was raised for your justification.  Receive and Confess Him as your personal Savior.   

Assurance As a Believer:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9).
