Technology of the Prophecies Part II

Cashless Society - The Loss of Independence

Of course we all know it’s coming – a cashless society where we will be required to use some sort of computer chip, radio frequency device, retinal scan or any number of other imbedded or printed devices on or in our bodies in order for us to purchase goods or services. The Bible also made this perfectly clear 2000 years ago in the prophecies of Revelation. We are only now, at this time in history, advanced enough to be able to technologically fulfill these prophecies. The Bible said that it would be in the latter of the last days that ... he (the Anti-Christ) causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name (Revelation 13:16-17).

God actually showed John the future and told him to write down what he saw and heard, which is now called the book of Revelation. Nearly two thousand years ago he wrote about events in a future day and time that would require the kind of technology that we have only now come to possess in order for these prophecies to occur. Many of these prophecies of Revelation never made sense in the past because there was seemly no way for them to be possible. We know now that what was needed was today’s technology - televisions and satellites, nuclear bombs and radiation, computers, internet, computer chips, radio frequency devices, retinal scanners, and the list goes on. We are technologically catching up with Revelation and it will all culminate with a world-wide cashless society where all people will be required to show a mark on their hand or forehead in order to buy or sell.

What was John actually seeing people do with their hands and foreheads? Did he see them waving their hands over a scanner? Did he see people leaning over a device for a retinal scan or facial recognition or an imbedded chip or the reading of a UPC type mark? To John, in his day and time, it would have seemed like these people had an actual mark or writing on their hands or foreheads. Yet, we know now that there could be any number of methods that this prophecy could soon be fulfilled as we continue the development of advanced authentication systems. What John wrote in Revelation was not wrong. The Bible was not wrong. It all equates to a mark – a number of some sort being read by a technological device. According to the Bible, this method of payment will become a world-wide requirement during the last half of the Great Tribulation.

How long before the world will be ready for an all-out ban on cash? Of course it is not going to happen overnight. Governments all over the planet are, however, moving toward that outcome by steadily transitioning their citizens away from the use of cash. Some nations have already done this entirely for all of their citizens. One might think that poor third world countries would be the last to be able to do this technologically, but this is not the case. Apparently these are the governments that are actually better able to move their entire societies into a cashless realm because the people seem to be more easily controlled due to the shear poverty and depravity of their conditions. The citizens need what the government can give them – food, shelter. Economic need can apparently bring about complete submission.

The citizens of the US on the other hand are more independent, less controllable. We may be one of the last countries where its people will be inclined to conform - to become more dependent on government and their banking institutions. Yet we are slowly being de-synthesized to the consequences of the loss of independence. When we lose the ability to control our money we will lose our independence and be dependent upon the government to control what we can and cannot do at any time. Will something drastic need to happen in the US in order for us to easily conform, such as an economic collapse or a massive terrorist event, a nuclear EMP attack or solar flairs? All of these could rapidly contribute to the right kind of conditions that would cause the US to deteriorate rather quickly and literally throw us back into 19th century conditions. Experts say that around one hundred million would die within a year from starvation alone. In reality, an economic collapse of any great magnitude would probably set up the right conditions for the US to mandate a government controlled cashless society and the subsequent loss of our individual independence.

Do we then submit and put our entire trust in the government by taking the Mark? Will the Mark be merely another technological necessity just like any other form of electronic transactions such as an ordinary debit card? No, not this time. It will be an actual allegiance between each person who takes it and the Anti-Christ himself. The Bible specifically warns people not to get the Mark because once done, the person is doomed to death and Hell, separated from God forever. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name (Revelation 14:9-11).

Of course the Mark will not actually be instituted until sometime during the Seven Year Tribulation which will be after the Rapture of the church. However, the events that are occurring now are the precursors for this coming cashless society. The world’s governments and banks are, right now, laying the foundations for the institution of this type of one world economic government and banking system. The Bible, thousands of years ago, correctly stated the events of the future and we are only now in this day and time finally catching up to the technology revealed in the prophecies of Revelation.
