Israel and the Signs of the Times

Recently, there has been a noticeable collective convergence occurring of all signs and events that will be present at the time of the end. These are geopolitical, technological, spiritual, moral, environmental and heavenly in nature. A great many relate to the area of the Middle East, specifically in regard to Israel, which is quite understandable - since it is actually at the middle of all things prophetic.

An escalation of prophetic signs is occurring in Israel, so much so, that even many Jewish Rabbis are stating that the Messiah is very close to appearing. Unfortunately, as Christians, we know that it will actually occur in a time of great sorrow for Israel, the Tribulation period, when they will finally the accept Jesus as being that Messiah.

After 2000 years, the recently re-instituted Sanhedrin is steadily making progress in re-instituting many of the traditions associated with the old temple worship practices – such as the Counting of the Jubilee Years, and many others. Items are feverishly being prepared for a new Temple on the Temple Mount. Dry runs of rituals such as the sacrifices of lambs and Heifers are being conducted. Red Heifers are being bred in preparation of finding a perfect one that can only be used in an actual sacrifice – one has not been found in approximately 2000 years.

Plans have been drawn up for the new third Temple which resemble the last Temple that was destroyed in AD 70. Something needs to occur and very soon regarding the Temple Mount which has the abomination of an Islamic Mosque on top of it at present. Since the Bible suggests that there is a Temple that will be defiled by the Anti-Christ during the Tribulation, then one needs built - soon.

Jewish Rabbis are also amazed at other events occurring in the Sea of Galilee as well as the Dead Sea which point to the soon coming Messiah as it pertains to old testament prophecies, as well as many other signs making the news lately. Christians recognize these signs in a slightly different light than do the Jewish people. Our perspective of prophecy is greatly enhanced because we are looking through the lens of the Gospel of Christ. The teachings of Jesus as well as the book of Revelation and the rest of the New Testament perfectly complements the Old Testament’s end times prophecies bringing them into full picturesque high definition view. Since Jews only recognize the prophets of old, they therefore very dimly recognize the signs of the times.

Pray that the Jewish people accept Jesus for who he really is, the actual and ultimate sacrificial lamb who is able to cleanse them forever of their sins. Pray that their eyes open fully to the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ that they may gain a more in-depth and accurate view of their soon coming future.

Everyone - open your eyes. Prepare yourselves. Get ready – Jesus is coming!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all of Israel. Pray for their salvation.

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed (Genesis 12:2-3).
