The Last Inquisition 

     The spirit of the Anti-Christ has been alive and well for centuries if not a couple thousand years.  How do I know?  History indicates that for every generation Satan has had in place a person prepared to be “the” Anti-Christ for the end of time.  He knows perfectly well that time is short and is and has been doing all that is possible to destroy and wipe out the Jewish presence upon this Earth.  Of course, most believe that Hitler was a type of Anti-Christ, but there were other people in the past whose actions mimicked Anti-Christ behavior as well. 

     The false Christianity of the 1300’s/1400’s Catholic church in conjunction with Spain’s King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella gave rise to a spirit of Anti-Christ that resulted in the persecution of its Jewish population.  In 1478, Isabella, who was a so-called “Christian,” received permission from the Catholic Pope to set up an Inquisition (the Spanish Inquisition) in order to eliminate heresy in the Christian world.  The Royal Decree on September, 27, 1480 specifically targeted Jews, stating that it was to search out and punish those who had converted from Judaism to Christianity.  It was suspected that many people were only secretly doing so in order to escape punishment and that they were still performing the rites and ceremonies of Judaism.  No other group, such as Muslims, was specifically mentioned and no other purpose for the Inquisition was stated in the Royal Decree.  Yet, at its peak, many other groups such as Muslims were terrorized as well.

     Spain’s first Grand Inquisitor, Dominican Tomas de Torquemada ordered the torture of thousands of people.  Those accused of not being true Christians were paraded in public before crowds of onlookers, including royalty, in what has been described as more of a crazed wild party for these spectators than a court of inquiry.  They were to publicly confess their heresy.  Those that refused to admit their guilt were tortured using the most horrific of methods.  Yet, their confession and repentance did not necessarily lead to a happy outcome.  Even giving in and “kissing the cross” did not spare them from being burned alive tied to a stake along with those who refused to repent in the first place.  Thousands died in that manner.

     In March of 1492, Torquemada urged Ferdinand and Isabella to issue an edict giving the remaining Jews the choice of either exile or baptism.  After the complete fall of the Muslim Domination of Spain, Ferdinand and Isabella did not want the remaining unconverted Jews to infect the now completely Christian population of Spain with their Judaism.  Consequently, more than 160,000 Jews were expelled from Spain.  As a side note, the very day after the Jews expulsion, August 3, 1492, Christopher Columbus, at the request of Ferdinand and Isabella, set out upon his Journey that resulted in the discovery of the New World (The America’s).  His diary stated that: In the same month in which their Majesties issued the edict that all Jews should be driven out of the kingdom and its territories, in the same month, they gave me the order to undertake with sufficient men my expedition of discovery of the Indies. While he probably wasn’t the first to reach the shores of the “West,” his presence accelerated the age of Western expansion.  This in turn resulted in what eventually became, centuries later, a relatively safe haven for the descendants of the expelled Jews of Spain and Europe in general.  God’s hand in America’s creation was clearly seen from the beginning of its conception. 

     The torture, killing and further scattering of the Jews in order to destroy their identity was ultimately the planning of Satan.  Yet it seemed that he was shortsighted as the expulsion, not complete extermination, of the Jews resulted in their expansion across Europe as well as eventually to America – with their identities remaining intact.  However, in 1580, Satan’s spirit of Anti-Christ influence was surely determined to correct that mistake.  Spain conquered Portugal and so the Inquisition had now expanded to the America’s.  They began rounding up the Jews that had fled Spain, slaughtering what was left of them and their descendants.  The inquisitions lasted until Napoleon conquered Spain in 1808 thus putting a stop to the Inquisition.  It made a brief rise again after his defeat in 1814 but was completely abolished by 1834.  The Spanish Inquisition’s last death, by hanging, occurred in 1826. 

     Satan’s plans of eliminating God’s people from the face of the Earth were again thwarted.  Not only that, the expulsion of the Jews from Spain also resulted in increased migration of Jews to the area of the Holy Land.  While small waves of Jewish migration to their Holy Land had been occurring for centuries, from 1492 onward, a steady increase in migration developed, resulting in the large-scale return of the Jews to “Palestine” in 1882.  (Roman Emperor Hadrian, furious with a Jewish uprising, renamed Israel to Palestine around 135ad - in order that the name of Israel would be remembered no more.)

     Satan desperately needed another plan which gave rise to the spirit of Anti-Christ within another individual – Adolph Hitler.  On September 16, 1919, well before being named Chancellor in 1933 and becoming Fuhrer in 1934, he summed up his ultimate goal in his first written comment regarding the so-called “Jewish Question” – “…ultimate goal must definitely be the removal of the Jews altogether.”  In 1922, he told journalist Josef Hell, “Once I really am in power, my first and foremost task will be the annihilation of the Jews.”  The Nazis used the term, “The Final Solution” when describing the “answer” to the “Jewish Question.”  This final solution resulted in the extermination of 6 million of the 9.5 million Jews that had lived in Europe.

     Yet, what ultimately resulted from this horrific event that Satan had yet again orchestrated for the elimination of God’s chosen people?  In 1948, the Jews received for themselves a nation, located in the Holy Land of all places!!!  Satan’s plans had failed emphatically and miserably – again!  God, yet again, triumphed over evil with good.  But there were bigger plans afoot with God. 

     All of these circumstances spanning thousands of years of history have followed along with what God had already expounded in the Bible as to what leads up to the very end of time.  The Jewish return, Israel’s rebirth as a nation as well as millions of other events, seen and unseen, have only led to the ultimate outcome where the actual Anti-Christ of the End Times will be revealed.  Satan has not given up in our modern day and time.  He is still plotting and preparing individuals as well as various scenarios where which he can again rain down havoc upon the Jews.  The Bible states that during the Tribulation, two thirds of the Jews in Israel will again be annihilated but leaving a remnant that will have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Satan and the Anti-Christ as well as the false prophet will be defeated by God Himself.  Jesus will bodily rule the world from Jerusalem, the Capitol city of Israel.

     Can we see evidence of Satan’s plans in our day and time?  Certainly.  Is it hard to discern?  Not if you recognize that the “End Times” story is told in the Bible and those who open their hearts to God will have their eyes opened to the truth of His Word.  History has always been revealed throughout the scriptures with thousands of prior Bible prophecies confirming with 100 percent accuracy the outcomes of our very past.  Since the Bible has already revealed approximately 500 more prophecies concerning our soon coming future, all we need to do is look to the Word of God.  His Word is literally being revealed right before our very eyes on the world’s stage. 

     Can we know who the End Times Tribulation Anti-Christ will be?  The Bible states at what point this person will be revealed and the circumstances surrounding the events of that time period.  Those that have understanding will be able to recognize him.  Can we know who the False Prophet will be?  Many have asked whether that person will be the current Catholic Pope or a Pope. 

     Satan, in the past, has certainly used the, at those times, corrupted Catholic church as a catalyst for killing the Jews.  In our modern day and time, “true” Christians have recognized that the Jews are God’s chosen people.  We would never act as the “false” Christians did during the times of the Inquisitions.  At that time, the Catholic church was driven by politics, control, domination and greed.  However, and very unfortunately, we can now recognize a truly demonic presence or demonic spirit again rising up within the present-day Catholic church.  If the Catholic Pope is supposed to be a Christian, why then has he acted so – unchristian?  He recites Islamic quotes as if they are Christian.  He equates their god, the Muslim god, as being the same God worshipped by Christians – as in when he stated - we all worship the one god.  He even invites Muslims to co-worship in Catholic sites where they are encouraged to pray together.  No true Christ follower would do any of this.  Those worshiping Allah absolutely do not worship our God and Father of Jesus Christ our Savior.  They do not consider Jesus as God nor do they believe in His crucifixion for the sins of all mankind.  The attempt at blending these religions and any others with Christianity is wrong.  Yet, with this happening at this particular time in history where political and geopolitical alignments are converging to be in-line with the very end of End Times Prophecy, the blending of religions is a very necessary element, for the Bible also speaks of an End Times One World Religious System. 

     The religion of the Catholic church is again becoming very political where social agendas to “save” the world are outweighing the need of a Savior to save us all.  For instance, the Pope is fervently advocating items such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development where this worldly agenda has become his driving force – his global evangelistic mission.  This coming Anti-Christ will need a man such as he, as well as a religion such as this perverted blend of religions, in order to fulfill the prophecy of the coming One World Religion. 

     Pope Francis recently co-signed a document, “A Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together,” with Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, who may be the most influential Muslim in the entire world.  Even though the document stresses freedom of worship for all religions, the Grand Imam has repeatedly contradicted it when speaking on Arabic media outlets.  His actual rhetoric condemns other faiths, stating that those who are not Muslims and those who won’t convert to Islam should be punished or killed.  Actual acts of Christian persecution can be directly related to his institution – Sunni University in Cairo, Egypt.

     This document that they both signed really does not even mention the name of Jesus but of a god or gods in general which is where all of the globalist rhetoric this Pope has been spouting for years has been leading to – a nothing religion that encompasses all religions to the betterment of society – A One World Religion if you will.

     This is all happening right before our very eyes.  Satan has not given up his desire to destroy God’s people.  He has been preparing another manifestation of the Anti-Christ specifically for this coming End of Times scenario.  When Adolph Hitler strived to gain control of all aspects of German society, he realized that in order to do so he also needed to gain complete and utter control of not only the political realm but of Germany’s religious realm as well.  He drove Christian teaching out of all the churches and replaced it with his own book, Mein Kampf, along with portraits of himself where only his words were to be taught and he was to be worshiped.  The coming last Anti-Christ will also need to gain control of all religious teaching and worship.  He could never hope to gain world domination without doing so and how best to accomplish that would be to institute a version of religion where it is really no religion at all, having been replaced by a globalist agenda where nations and individuals are forced to conform to it or face punishment.  We are presently witnessing the birth of this final last One World Religion.

     However, there is a very large problem with this scenario being completely fulfilled or gaining much traction in the near future without being confronted by a great opposing force.  If the Anti-Christ were revealed today, he would be opposed by millions of people who would have the God-insight to declare his true identity and motivations.  Also, modern Christians are mostly aligned with the Jews, recognizing them as God’s chosen people, running to their defense for our God is their God.  Most Jews don’t quite understand at this time that Jesus is also their Savior, but they will.  Because of the fact that literally massive numbers of Christians understand the need for a Jewish nation, Satan cannot actually use them, as he did in the past via the Catholic church, in order to persecute the Jews.  So, what will need to change allowing for Satan to ultimately reveal the End Times Anti-Christ?  What will need to change in the church in order to allow it to again become so corrupt that it could participate in another and Final Last Inquisition?  The removal of the Restrainer. 

     Now, dear brothers and sisters, let us clarify some things about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet him.   Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us.   Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.  He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.

      Don’t you remember that I told you about all this when I was with you?  And you know what is holding him back (Restraining - in other translations), for he can be revealed only when his time comes.  For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the way.  Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, but the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by the splendor of his coming.

     This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles.  He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them.  So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies.  Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12).

     The Bible clearly states that the Restrainer will need to be removed in order to allow the man of sin to be revealed.  Who is the Restrainer?  Who is that One that withholdeths; that “holds back” in some translations?  Who is that One that is restraining or holding back Satan from revealing this last Anti-Christ?  The Spirit of God that literally indwells and lives in the hearts of all true born-again Christians.  Once He removes Himself via the Christians being taken out of the way in the Rapture, a massive religious entity such as Catholicism, relieved of any actual Christian influence, will again be set up and primed to initiate the greatest and last Inquisition.  Those who have repented and accepted Christ after the beginning of the Tribulation as well as all Jews will be rounded up and slaughtered. 

     The Bible describes in detail this massive inquisition and murder that is to be initiated and implemented by the False Prophet who will be the leader of this coming One World Religious System.  During the Spanish Inquisition, suspects were forced to inform on and reveal friends and family members who refused to convert to Catholicism.  The same thing occurred during Hitler’s reign and it will again happen during the Tribulation when all will be required to submit, give allegiance to and worship the Anti-Christ.  Families will be torn apart as brother will inform on brother, husbands and wives will inform upon each other.  Social media will likely play a huge part in separating those who won’t convert.  It will be a time and an inquisition like no other where the whole world will be involved and millions will be exterminated. 

     This Last Great and Horrific Inquisition will ultimately end in defeat.  Even though the Satan possessed Anti-Christ has managed to murder two thirds of Israel’s Jewish population and countless millions if not billions across the planet, he will fail in fulfilling the Final Solution of the extermination of all Jews for the very last time.  There will remain a remnant and this remnant will not only survive but they will do something extraordinary, for them at least.  They will finally have thrown off their stubborn pride and their eyes will have been opened to the truth that Jesus is and always has been their Lord God and Savior.  They will mourn, as one mourns for a lost child, for the One they pierced 2000 years ago. 

     Two-thirds of the people in the land will be cut off and die,” says the Lord.  But one-third will be left in the land.  I will bring that group through the fire  and make them pure.  I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold.  They will call on my name, and I will answer them.  I will say, These are my people, and they will say, The Lord is our God (Zechariah 13:7-9).

     Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the family of David and on the people of Jerusalem. They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died. The sorrow and mourning in Jerusalem on that day will be like the great mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddo.  All Israel will mourn, each clan by itself, and with the husbands separate from their wives. The clan of David will mourn alone, as will the clan of Nathan, the clan of Levi, and the clan of Shimei. Each of the surviving clans from Judah will mourn separately, and with the husbands separate from their wives (Zechariah 12:10-14).

     At the end of the Seven Year Tribulation as Satan and the armies of the world set themselves up in the valley of Megiddo preparing for battle, Jesus returns with all of Heaven’s armies.  He will defeat the Anti-Christ and False Prophet, sending them to eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.  Satan will be bound for a thousand years after which time he will also be thrown into that Hell fire.

     At the beginning of time, God set into motion a plan of action where nothing will stop the course of events that will result in the scenario of the End Times, the Rapture of the Church; the Tribulation; the Millennial Kingdom; and after that the Judgment.  And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.  (Remember, man's own works will not save him but only by the Grace of God alone are we saved.)  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15).

     For current believers in Christ, however, there is a different outcome – the Rapture; returning with Christ to rule in the Millennial Kingdom; and then Eternity with God – a new Jerusalem, new Heavens and a new Earth.  The future of mankind is determined and set in stone – more specifically, written in the pages of the Bible by God who directly inspired men of old to pen the Words.  These Words are true and credible, as all evidence testifies of its accuracy.   For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”  We ourselves heard that voice from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.

     Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place—until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.  Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God (2 Peter 1:16-21).
