None Other Than Jesus

For those who wrestle with the need for an intermediary for the confession of sins, please consider why Jesus lived and died as He did.  He became the perfect sacrificial lamb to cover all of my sins.  He became my very own personal Savior.  After accepting Jesus as my Savior, the Holy Spirit now resides within me.  As is Jesus, The Holy Spirit is God.  I have access to Him at all times.  He guides my actions and actually intercedes for me in prayer to my Heavenly Father.  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:26-27).

God is a very personal God who enjoys those that seek after Him in spirit and in truth.  He doesn’t need a facilitator between Himself and you.  His death on the cross for your sins was a personal act – for you.  Be careful of any religion that places more emphasis upon upholding ritualistic practices than conveying to its members the need to ever strive for a closer, personal relationship with Christ.  Remember, as Christ died on the cross the huge veil of the temple was torn completely apart from top to bottom as an earthquake occurred during his death.  This signified that there was now no need for an earthly priest to be a mediator between us and God.  We, personally, now have access to and can boldly come to the Throne of Grace to ask for forgiveness and to make our petitions before God.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:14-16).

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6).
